@wadi i love how much of a gremlin they make meowscarada in animation. like, why does it talk like that, and why was it exactly the right decision

@coriander i did not realize it might be pawsible to impurrove on purrfection like this. truly, goblin wisdom knoweth no bounds

@vaporeon_ i’m just repurrting what i can gather from the etymology; i don’t really know middle english

@vaporeon_ yes; though from what i can tell, you would usually use “skyrmissh” instead

@vaporeon_ it comes from Middle English fur “skirmish” (“scrymmage,” an alteration of “skyrmissh”), so really the brits invented that one

re: emoji, question

@vaporeon_ you want to carry it into the end zone. the game is about holding onto the ball. dropping it can have disastrous consequences

there are rules about throwing it; under normal circumstances, only the quarterback may do that while still behind the line of scrimmage (the term fur the line on the field where the current play starts from)

there are rules about kicking it, sometimes into the goalposts to score (if less than a touchdown), and very often to the other team (either a kickoff or a punt, depending on the situation)
