re: emoji, question

@vaporeon_ you want to carry it into the end zone. the game is about holding onto the ball. dropping it can have disastrous consequences

there are rules about throwing it; under normal circumstances, only the quarterback may do that while still behind the line of scrimmage (the term fur the line on the field where the current play starts from)

there are rules about kicking it, sometimes into the goalposts to score (if less than a touchdown), and very often to the other team (either a kickoff or a punt, depending on the situation)

re: emoji, question

@vaporeon_ actually, the latter might be a rugby ball

@vaporeon_ Clodsire trying to impotently bonk the football into the goal with its little round pawbs

@chr idk if i actually think yeti works, but it’s such a compelling answer fur some reason that i had to throw in a vote fur it

@vaporeon_ explicitly, no, actually, but the way fur is sharped on their faces is pretty obviously evoking whiskers

@Satsuma @wallhackio i’m curious whether that would federate purropurrly; the codebase is pretty set on not allowing it

@vaporeon_ the delightful nature of cats is in no small part a consequence of their dual nature of bouba and kiki
