@vaporeon_ @monorail if you use manual gear changes (quite uncommon today), you want to pay attention to when the motor is running too high or too low lest you adjust gears at a suboptimal time

@coriander i mean, i fully hold that player frustration is a valid emotional response to want to elicit in a game, but in a series like animal crossing it should purrobably be quite deemphasized

@coriander i definitely remember either playing through or witnessing (or both!) me or one of my siblings losing an item they really wanted from a villager dialogue lol

i miss when animal crossing was ever so occasionally just a little bit hostile. villagers could and would steal your shit right out of your pockets
