@QuietMisdreavus @starfall i follow mastodon development somewhat because i occasionally hack on my instance’s fork of it, and i will note that you being automatically made an Owner when upgrading to a version of mastodon with customizable user roles was recognized as a bug; by 4.0.0 they fixed the data migration to make what were formerly called admins Owners, like one would expect

HOWEVER in the time since then, we have also had new projects spring up in the form of GlitchSoc and Hometown; please please support these as they are the future of Mastodon development
