like honestly if it disincentivizes using the dislike button then that’s a desirable outcome
the actual desirable outcome being, keeping the dislike count & bar and making dislikes have no effect on the Algorithm, of course, but,

tbh i don’t personally mind youtube hiding the dislike count since i never use dislikes anyway; the algorithm pushes disliked content because it drives engagement, and i would rather not promote a video i dislike
