I think the man is perhaps a little too obsessed with his own sense of propriety to throw them out just because, but I’d full willing believe he’d latch on to any scandal he could argue they were involved in as an excuse to, if Charlotte couldn’t talk him out of it

Are they just wildly disrespectful of their ex fiances boundaries? using Zhenshay and their lack of interest as a way to get out of being married to some other worse prospect? like how when you’re on unemployment sometimes there’s no jobs that look good but you still have to submit at least one application a week, so you pick a place that definitely isn’t going to call you back
