On Sparrows Wings by watchdabirdie
Fandom: The Old Guard (Gina Prince-Bythewood & Greg Rucka 2020)
Summary:
There was a man in the park watching her. She had seen him before, exactly a year before. His clothing was different, and he wore a hat this time. But the dark brown of his curls was the same. The bittersweet smile framed with a well kept beard was the same. And his eyes held the same fondness in their dark depths. Najid was not scared of the man who watched her. For she knew it was not her those sad eyes lingered on. It was her son.
@maj bizarrely tumblr is only ok about inbound links if the format is blogname.tumblr.com instead of tumblr.com/blogname and newer blog may not have a subdomain set up so it does occasionally get excised from direct linking (originally it was the only way tumblr offered blogs, and then they offered both for all blogs and now they only offer the /blogname unless you flip some settings)
really wish more sites would be chill about just letting you read the thing but, alas
@maj i have the same policy about social media as i do about any site: i wont link it if the content can’t be viewed in full someone who does not have an account. if it’s going to cut the reader off one paragraph in with an enter your email/disable your adblocker/pay us money to see the rest then i’ll either screenshot or link to a 3rd party mirror of the content (eg archive.is ) or decide its just not worth mentioning at all
in practice this means that i dont link to many social media sites directly though

@aschmitz @wallhackio if you are genuinely arguing that biscotti is not baking that would rather explain why you keep thinking everything is cooking, because its hard to think of a more definitionally baked product
@wallhackio @aschmitz just because biscotti is already baked when you slice it up and put it in the oven doesn’t stop it from being baking
@aschmitz @wallhackio half of fedi disagrees with you
@wallhackio i guess we’ll never know
@coreo yeah that showed a shocking lack of compassion on her part for sure
@coreo ugh thats such a horrible thing to say, i am sorry you had to hear that while you were in the midst of talking about some already p vulnerable topics!
@hoja @wallhackio lmao
@kate do share the recipe if they come out well! honey cookies are so delicious
@RAPIDPUNCHES last time this happened to me i just used superglue, but i wasnt super worrying about safety bc the way it cracked meant the repair was going to be basically 100% interior
re: c++ complaining, wall of text
@wallhackio i feel like there are more useful and more enjoyable ways to spend ones time but if thats what brings you fulfillment then go off i guess
