@greyor if you’re wondering how to say this in lepidopterist speak, i opened a paper claiming to have discovered three new kinds of moth in canda and it opened with «Even if the genus Herpetogramma is worldwide in distribution (Solis 2010), we have restricted our research to North America – mostly to Canada – as there are so many discoveries remaining to be made and also so many habits of these fantastic species remain unknown. Even for American species, very few details are known as to the biology of Herpetogramma (Solis 2010). The latter is the only author who has tried to shed light on that matter.»

@weirdestate hey its still better than no windows at least!
we have a bubble glass external window in our bathroom and it does let a surprisingly decent amount of light through without really effecting the quality too badly

@platypus if you wanna mix it up, sleigh bells are easily acquirable from music shops and make a nice counterpoint to the cowbell (unfortunately i suspect most cowbells in music shops will be designed for drum kits and therefore clapperless)
@Betty yeah they are just wayyy too big for me
@Betty i have seen bison from a near enough distance to be quite sure i would not like to be up close with any animal of its size regardless of domesticity and no amount of delicious buffalo milk cheese will convince me otherwise tbh
@Betty yeah i think i can get donkeys and horses but mules are always like *squints suspiciously*
tho maybe i should just start assuming all the weirdos are mules until you correct me otherwise

@brainwane i vaguely recall it including a bit on how he desperately does not want to get out of bed and yet must anyway which i found incredibly relatable
@nasamuffin executive function haver suggesting the perhaps overly obvious first step of “make a habit of actually labeling everything you put in the freezer before you freeze it” which i did not do for a while because i didn’t have anything i could write on tupperware with in the kitchen but helped a ton once i sorted that out
