@compostablespork i’m in long and skinny butter stick territory (philly) tho most of the nicer butters seem to sell in 8oz blocks (twice as wide, similar length/depth/height), instead of the quadpacks of 4oz sticks

@Forestofglory i mean i imagine its going to vary by community somewhat but i wouldn’t worry about it too much? i see a lot of people from the shop promoting their own books/blog posts etc and its a fandom friendly space so i dont see why fic would need different rules

For most instances, keyword searches are blocked on the Fediverse: you can search for a hashtag like #FediTips, but you can't search for "fedi tips", or for celebrity names, or anything else that doesn't have a hashtag in front of it.
You can, however, mute keywords, so if you don't want to hear about Twitter you can mute that word.
This combination means: please don't obfuscate terms. You needn't put asterisks in names. They're hard to search & troll. Let people's filters work.

Hello and welcome to all the new people! Just a reminder for when you post images on here, use #AltText. It seems like the more new people join, the less it's being used, which is really not great for the people who depend on it.
Do you, like me, have a hard time describing things that you're seeing? I learned a trick for that! Describe the image as if you were explaining what you are seeing to someone you're talking to on the phone. Once I started doing that way it got way easier.

you can set the deletion period to anywhere between a week & 2 years, and there’s some options for customizing exceptions as well
