the current situation with the @guppegroups Handles is very confusing.
It drives me crazy ;)
The server "gup.pe" is now "a.gup.pe" (maybe @datatitian can confirm).
The problem is the cache of the old handles. In mastodon, people find the non-existent "gup.pe" handles before they find the correct "a.guppe" handles (`Group` `Actor`) …
Can we [after consent of the domain owner above] maybe delete the cache for the old "gup.pe" domain?

@stelepami my interpretation was “the state cant prevent a woman from getting an abortion unless the pregnancy has been declared viable by a qualified practicioner, and even then they cant stop her in xyz conditions” which is limited enough in circumstance that i’m not, personally, hugely worried?
In terms of eugenics concerns, women being pressured into early term abortions in terms of current prenatal tests? eg downs syndrome (when tested for) is generally found before the fetus is viable

@twistylittlepassages @pagrus i’m so jealous of Japanese KitKats—it’s so hard to find flavored ones in the US and when you do they’re almost always boring (the somewhat confusingly named mocha + chocolate duo is decent as far as coffee candy goes, if you happen to spot them but. Also one of the least controversial flavor pairings for a chocolate candy possible)
There’s also an undertone where in my last paper I included some observations on how Besant uses Hinduism to give her arguments cultural legitimacy and he was like ‘you should drop everything else and focus on that’ which I did, technically, by writing a paper about how Besant consistently conflates Hindu Nationalism with Indian Nationalism and rejects all other religions as irrelevant or inherently foreign
Which is *probably* not what he meant by that lol
This is objectively a pretty good paper but ai have no idea if its what the professor is expecting from this assignment
Also it seems translators have already taken "foreignization" for a point slightly different than the one I'm trying to make here, so going to have to rethink that sentence
