@Forestofglory i’ve also got two this week 😔 hope your second one goes smoothly

what's your fave breakfast that isn't cereal?

@aldercone usually i have toast with butter and jam, but yoghurt and granola are also nice

maybe not a super doable option for teenagers specifically but my rice cooker has an steel-cut oatmeal option and I love the convenience of just throwing some grains in a pot with water, pushing some buttons, and waking up to breakfast having made itself (when i’m feeling ambitious i add a diced apple or some spices or a handful of dried fruit)

@essentialrandom depends on how radicalized your coworkers have already gotten from the shitty working conditions but i assume anyone considering a 27 programs already feeling pretty desperate

@essentialrandom i feel like “create a union” as step one might help quite a bit with smoothing out this process

@coriander @Lady this is tectonic plate based mountain formation erasure

@Lady @coriander we do *have* mountains they’re just more northerly than Philly

@RussSharek yeah i’ve been enjoying your postings on them! not sure much can top “random pipe in the middle of the floor connected to nothing” in my book haha

@RussSharek a real bounty of laundry signage! near a hamper/laundry collection place does seem like a good place also

@RussSharek you should definitely hang that one up in next to the washer

re: Israel/Palestine rhetoric, subtoot

@mihira @ljwrites yeah its absolute nonsense but it does unfortunately seem to p definitively answer the question of “is there anything these kinds of people would accept” with “absolutely not”

re: Israel/Palestine rhetoric, subtoot

@mihira @ljwrites Suella Braverman, current British Home Secretary, has been trying to argue that just waving the Palestinian flag and not even saying anything is possibly illegal hate-speech: theguardian.com/politics/2023/

And the BBC got some similar responses when they went to the police like “is this actually a problem?”: bbc.com/news/uk-england-london

@yesterdaychild @asya very simple solution to that one, if both of them are bi its no longer hetfic

@nash @twistylittlepassages coronas for comparison: ranchogordo.com/products/royal (the last slide in the carousel is a strikingly similar dish haha)

@twistylittlepassages @nash gigantes are greek I think? Which is not a cuisine I’m as familiar with but i wouldn’t be surprised to hear the two varietals are siblings so to speak

@twistylittlepassages @nash of they were *really* big maybe Royal Coronas? They’re originally Italian I think

peripherals, shopping; gender complaint

@ljwrites @greyor@weirder.earth pretty much every tshirt i’ve gotten out of a tshirt cannon or whatevers been either unisex xl or xxl, aka hilariously large for teenage me who was the one actually going to those kind of events
