@twistylittlepassages so tidy!! it’s the perfect size to fit in the (admittedly narrow) side pockets of my backpack also for added neatness

when @Lady and I were in chicago we kept trying to eat in parks but the takeout places never gave out cutlery, which prompted me into finally investing in a nice kit for my bag (she has a matching set in raspberry, and we have a blue one for anyone who comes to visit!!!)

re: meta, request for info

@twistylittlepassages there are two metas -- the tusky meta is that some famous open source guy got mad that Tuskey sometimes pays its volunteers small amounts of money for their time even when that time doesn't lead immediately directly to tangible contributions (see tusky's explanation of the situation: opencollective.com/tusky/updat for more info )

The Oliphant drama appears to be a misunderstanding between a user and the mod team, compounded by the main Oliphant admin's failure to communicate effectively with said user and said mod team, who they'd made competing promises to, which was then escalated by the now ex-user deciding the best course of action was a very loud and public "mods are out to get me!" thread (see: dotart.blog/welshpixie/anarcho & writer.oliphant.social/oliphan & jorts.horse/@AnarchoNinaWrites if you want all three particpant perspectives on that one)

@soph_sol yeah i’ve done a few book reorg projects just for the fun of poking through all of my books haha (though i probably have slightly fewer books than i have files

@mythologybot 1) induces
2) why is wife not just making an outcry over the fact that she is also being robbed

@pastelsinmysky the tree you arent sure of the name for might be a Japanese black pine / something similar? they naturally have a mildly zig-zag trunk that is often exaggerated by pruning / training in ornamental gardens….

texting people fedi emoji shortcodes when unicode emoji prove insufficient

@gardener i think the underscore version would prob be better but unfortunately punctuation breaks hashtags on Mastodon so that second one would just get tagged as
