There’s also an undertone where in my last paper I included some observations on how Besant uses Hinduism to give her arguments cultural legitimacy and he was like ‘you should drop everything else and focus on that’ which I did, technically, by writing a paper about how Besant consistently conflates Hindu Nationalism with Indian Nationalism and rejects all other religions as irrelevant or inherently foreign

Which is *probably* not what he meant by that lol

This is objectively a pretty good paper but ai have no idea if its what the professor is expecting from this assignment

Also it seems translators have already taken "foreignization" for a point slightly different than the one I'm trying to make here, so going to have to rethink that sentence

> The PSP's web browser is - charitably - pathetic. It is slow, frequently runs out of memory, and can only open 3 tabs at a time... But the GOV.UK pages are written in simple HTML. They are designed to be lightweight and will work even on rubbish browsers. They have to. This is for everyone...
> Are you developing public services? Or a system that people might access when they're in desperate need of help? Plain HTML works. A small bit of simple CSS will make look decent. JavaScript is probably unnecessary - but can be used to progressively enhance stuff. Add alt text to images so people paying per MB can understand what the images are for (and, you know, accessibility).

re: Surgery question, broadly (poll)

@compostablespork my only surgery was promptly buried under a splint which made wound care a bit weird (also, something like 8 years ago now). My recollection was that I was expected to change the gauze regularly until the stitches were able to come out but that I should otherwise keep it dry and not touch it so no topical antibiotics.

I was on an IV while I was in the hospital though, so I likely got some antibiotics that way, along with the vitally important saline drip

@aescling except they’d need permissions for that that they dont really have a method for
