But really, the most important thing is keeping them sharp -- even the most expensive knife will become a chore to use if it's not well cared for (I sharpen my own which I...would not necessarily recommend, but it is cheaper than paying someone)

@Cyborgneticz cotton & linen are for summers! They’re comfy & breathable but they don’t insulate well
@Cyborgneticz wool can be pricey but it’s sooooo good. I have a bunch of super nice wool scarves & I just wear one p much every day
@Cyborgneticz yep my mom is a poncho devotee! Also good to upgrade your sweaters from cotton to wool/alpaca — both fibers are a lot warmer than cotton so a good sweater can really help
