as someone who’s dealt with his shit my entire life, the thing you need to understand about @wallhackio is that he is utterly sick in the head. this is partially a compliment. but not entirely
@aescling @wallhackio i don't think it's polite to call someone sick in the head just for being a mathematician
@Lady @wallhackio @aescling ur gonna have to be more specific
@Lady @wallhackio @aescling being dedicated to things is normal so i think you are still going to have to be more specific
@Satsuma @wallhackio @aescling actually having hobbies is normal it is the people who do not have hobbies who are sick in the head
@Satsuma @Lady @wallhackio his entire reason fur living in college was physics. he barely had hobbies. one of his classmates had to tell him he needed to learn to have fun (he did not listen)
@aescling @Satsuma @wallhackio i don’t wanna be like “letting education consume your life is healthy” but also this is the mentality the system is designed to produce
i knew a guy in college who double majored in music and chemistry, both incredibly time-consuming majors, and spent literally every waking moment on one of those two pursuits. he was one of the nicer and more well-adjusted people i knew in college aside from that fact tho
@Lady @wallhackio @aescling college as a total institution
@aescling @Satsuma @wallhackio i am writing like 500KB of guide to a seven year old video game
@Satsuma @Lady @wallhackio his, um, capacity fur dedication is truly something to behold
