what bothers me the most about leftpad is that it isn’t even good

even though xmldom is like, a hacky NPM package

i’m at the point where i’m wondering whether i don’t want to just make a hard dependency on xmldom instead of relying on browsers’ DOM capabilities

stop removing XML features that i need

you may say: but kibi, the purpose of a movie soundtrack is simply to frame the action on screen, and having too much soundtrack depth or interest would be distracting

to which i would reply: clearly you have not seen lord of the rings

like he makes compositions which do their jobs but they’re not deep or interesting, they’re just functional with rare exceptions

i think hans zimmer is not that good of a composer

anyway this is why the lord of the rings is good

even in star wars george lucas made the intentional decision not to have luke be a jawa

like personally if it were up to me i’d rather be interesting

i think it’s interesting how white male fantasy has a tradition of making the most interesting fantasy people not be the protagonist, who is mostly boring despite being the chosen one
