@coriander @aescling idk it just repeats in abstract form things the game is already telling you through the normal gameplay and i'd rather spend my time looking at the normal gameplay version than the abstracted version

@coriander @aescling like i was able to mark the locations of all of the geoglyphs on my map with relative accuracy despite none of it being filled in, and it still labels locations and discoveries, and marshlands and water still shows up, so it's just the topography you're missing

@aescling but by no shrines i also mean no fasttravel

@aescling i'm not doing no hearts (i pick up the heart containers after defeating bosses and i got a heart as a reward for putting the eyes in the statue beneath the great plateau) but i'm doing no hearts from shrines (aside from the mandatory first one) so if i do no stamina upgrades either then there really is no point to doing the shrines

@aescling assuming they release a master mode for it i might do no shrines in my eventual master mode playthrough

@coriander idk i think the more horrifying thing is being trapped with other people

if you're alone it's just like, take a nap, eventually you will run out of oxygen and not wake up

(ofc now we know it was a catastrophic implosion so presumably it was a pretty fast end)

@coriander @hoppet he was present for like, the very very beginning of tears to the kingdom but then fucked off to go do the mario movie and as far as i know was not involved with it at all from that point on

and this is pretty typical i think; there's usually some other nintendo property he's putting all his time into slash maybe ruining and so zelda just flies under the radar

@hoppet @coriander zelda is all aonuma like, miyamoto was all “story is bad and gamers love gimmicks” and then they made link’s awakening as like a side thing and everyone loved it and then they made majora’s mask as a side thing and everyone loved it and miyamoto was like “ok go off i guess” and largely just lets them do whatever they want now as far as i understand
