been a long time since i've had a good fanfic to read :(

@KitRedgrave like my opposition isn't even to professionalism per se it's just that my hopes and ambitions that i accomplish in my free time with the experience i have cultivated through my independent growth and study is not something i'm going to give away

if it's something you want, put it in the job description, give me a raise accordant with the additional expectations, and have me do it on your time

otherwise, it's mine

@KitRedgrave me, over and over again: they aren't paying me for that so they don't get to take credit for it

gf: but… don't you have lots of things you want to accomplish…?

me: yes but not *professionally*

zelda AU where the library of hyrule has a classification system which makes sense

« One of the most surprising class numbers that we found during our analysis of the HQ schedule was one that fell outside our primary range of interest […] It was “Marriage with deceased wife’s sister” at HQ1028 […] The cursory catalog searches gave us a sense that the call number is no longer in regular use and that this topic is not currently being written about. »

« Episode 1 of Obi-Wan Kenobi was FULL of Star Wars references. » no shit??

now i’m thinking about pokémon professor burnet’s abs

@witchfynder_finder professor burnet totally has abs too you just can't see them

@witchfynder_finder i'm extremely gay for every lady pokémon professor

when i was a kid i could never wait for my Psyduck to evolve and now i make it hold an everstone. this is known as maturity

*gets a report* ah, i see the kits are up to Mischief again

explaining xkcd??

@witchfynder_finder i think the “joke” is that generating random numbers in software isn’t as secure as generating random numbers from physical phenomena, a humorous example of which would be a very large die

(because software RNGs are hackable/predictable/attackable whereas dicerolls are not)

it's not funny though. it's more “oh you have this problem? here’s a really impractical solution, look how it helps nobody.” thanks i guess??
