for us technologists, remember that while the current iteration of the war against sex workers is fought digitally, it is a problem that originates long before our current era and is deeper than just the technology platforms that mediate online communication and commerce.
therefore solutions to it do not lie only in technology but also in the spheres of wider culture and politics.
i think a lot of smut authors and maybe artists view what they do as somehow different or less severe from sex work
