@witchfynder_finder i'm certain the local indigenous community has a phrase though

@Satsuma okay if you want a Formal Academic Phrasing, romance and horror both belong to a broad genre of sentimental fiction which emerged out of the traditions of the Romantic (including Gothic) literary movement and consequently share broad similarities in aims and structure despite superficial differences in aesthetic and affective intent

one piece evidence for my argument that romance and horror are actually the same genre is in horror sometimes you know the jump scare is coming but it still makes you feel feelings and in romance sometimes you know the kiss is coming but it still makes you feel feelings

@witchfynder_finder ah yes, one must always strive for accuracy when discussing the sacred holiday tradition of folgers

reminds me of

@platypus

« I saw people being really compulsive but really enjoying it. I saw that these guys sort of related to their terminals the way I relate to the piano and I thought, maybe I can do that too. I saw all these people running around with the same intensity as I have with the piano and they tell me that I'll probably be good at computers. These are the guys who are helping me do this course. And they keep telling me, yes, you're going to be real good at it. Don't worry about it, but you're going about it in the wrong way. They tell me I'm "not establishing a relationship with the computer." And to me that sounds gross. It is gross to me, the way these guys are. I don't like establishing relationships with machines. I don't like putting it that way. Relationships are for people. »
