our federated timeline is great, no problems, but there are some frem folks in the replies sometimes

@Satsuma oh no it's fine it's just incongruous with this character being five years old

@Satsuma “Blue?! Blue isn’t a name! You’re silly! Blue is a color!” would be much better

@Satsuma it's a bad line anyway because the “, silly” tag is extremely nonidiomatic but

@Satsuma agreed but they should like, acknowledge that at some point please so i’m not left wondering

planning on vetting federation today / this weekend, so assholes beware 👀

@aescling somebody boosted a toot mentioning them, probably

« “Blue?” Tawny giggled. “That’s not a name, silly. That’s a color.” » for the life of me i can't tell if this author knows what tawny means or not

the author just fundamentally does not understand how to give anything stakes

this romance was kinda fun to tease at the beginning but now it's just sad

@aescling amazingly this is still too complicated for most programmers, on account of not being JSON

@aescling all RDF is is “we are going to make a graph, and our graph will contain either nodes named with IRIs, literals which are typed with IRIs, or language‐tagged strings”

and then a bunch of specifications on top of that which basically say “here are some interoperable formats for conveying that information to others” and “here are what some of the IRIs you might use mean”

if your story doesn't make sense you don't have to try to rationalize it; you can just press the delete key

« The L-word sent a thrill of fear down his spine. » girl does like Victoria's Secret

they did not write the sex scene, probably because they knew they could not convince the reader they know what good sex is like

Show thread

« Finally, he understood what making love meant as opposed to having sex. Everything happened spontaneously with no inhibitions. » today i learned this author hasn't had good sex

today i learned this author feels shame about their love for Victoria's Secret

it's okay author, you can like Victoria's Secret and still be a feminist, Gloria Steinem said so

Show thread

« “Weren’t you against Victoria’s Secret and their objectification of women?” Tyler retorted.

“I didn’t buy them.” Rose shrugged. “They were a present from Marcus.” » i love wearing clothes my ex bought me to make me look more fuckable, wouldn't you like to be a pepper too
