like he makes compositions which do their jobs but they’re not deep or interesting, they’re just functional with rare exceptions
i think hans zimmer is not that good of a composer

i think it’s interesting how white male fantasy has a tradition of making the most interesting fantasy people not be the protagonist, who is mostly boring despite being the chosen one
@witchfynder_finder i also love fantasy a lot more than sci‐fi lol so i mean there’s bias in this room :P
@witchfynder_finder like Back On This Point but i think it’s beautifully ironic that they took Dune, a book with a reputation for being Extremely Hard Sci‐fi, and turned it into this
and they did it without really compromising any of the sci‐fi elements either

@witchfynder_finder people who think dune is too slow are the same people who didn't cry at the end of totoro
@witchfynder_finder i love the pacing; i know not everyone likes it but every single piece is saying something directly relevant to the film and its journey
fuck action filler which is just in there to make the movie seem “fast”

you don't need to know the science behind it because you can literally see it happening

“it’s an opinion piece” is not an excuse for a news organization to abandon all editorial integrity or codes of ethics
i’m a mean trans woman i will yell at you if you publish a shitty blogpost on a national platform and thus expose its author to needless and easily avoidable vulnerability for the sake of controversy and clicks
