Urgent USpol call to action for science - ANYONE ANYWHERE CAN PARTICIPATE

If you care about the advancement of science, I strongly urge you to comment on the US legislative proposal OMB-2026-0034-0001, which would allow federal grants to scientists to be terminated at any time, for any reason.

Because this is considered a rule change, it is not required to go through Congress to be put into effect. HOWEVER, there is a commenting period during which the public is allowed to submit comments on the proposal. OMB is required by law to read every comment and respond to every significant comment. Anyone can comment, and you can comment anonymously. INDIVIDUALIZED comments hold much more weight and are far more laborious to respond to than identical mass submissions.

This link and the attached media give more information about the rule change: elizabethginexi.substack.com/p

Here is the link to submit comments: regulations.gov/commenton/OMB- The deadline for comment submission is July 13, but earlier is better!

@vaporeon_ I was complaining about JavaScript. The ECMAScript standard has required proper tail call optimization since 2015 and the engine used by Safari is the only major runtime to implement this

Imagine not implementing a core feature of the standard for your language for 11 years now
