@whiskeysailor chemex are infamous for being finicky. It takes a lot of technique to brew consistently with one

deltarune, minor spoilers

game is really good so far

@The_T @holly I also recommend one packet of the spice blend "sazon goya". It comes in an orange box of little spice packets. I've never had trouble finding in the Mexican food area of any supermarket in the US, not sure if Canada is different though

But sazon goya is a really really easy way to add a ton of savory punch to a chili

@The_T @holly if you want to make it super easy then

1) fry 1 lb of ground meat (beef is standard but pork or turkey is also good) until no longer pink
2) dump some pre cut onions from the supermarket in there, stir until they are translucent
3) dump 2 tbsp chili powder, 1/2 tbsp cumin, 1-2 tsp garlic powder, and a 1-2 tsp of salt, 1 of whatever can of tomatoes you have in the pantry, and 1-3 cans of whatever beans you have in the pantry. Stir and bring to a boil and then let simmer for 15 minutes
4) taste and add more seasonings to taste, which you will probably need because what I wrote here was quite conservative

And yeah that's a chili

@The_T @holly I mean, you can also make a very fine chili in 45 minutes

@The_T @holly not that you asked me but an extravagant chili can easily take 4-5 hours of prep work and cooking and I do that every once in a while

@lapis lol maybe I will do it tomorrow. For your sake, of course, and not for any other reason :clodsire_head::clodsire_tail:

@cam in physics and math, (and maybe other fields as well, but I can't speak to those), a lot of these things are named retroactively and don't always actually attribute the phenomenon to all of the people actually responsible for its discovery

I'm starting to suspect as I get older that this as deliberate myth making to venerate the specific types of mathematicians and scientists that western academia is good at making, and discarding the immense amount of research done by graduate students that makes all of this possible

@lapis ah I hope you can take care of your brain

For me, I'm still waking up. I don't seem to have much I need to do today so I'm probably gonna take it easy. I have a shitton of books to read and a shitton of Deltarune and Message From Depp Space to play

I guess I could clean my room a bit, maybe I will do that
