I never understand trans art, like all the trans allegories go over my head. And when I ask my friends to explain them it always goes like
"Hey I know The Matrix is a trans story, like I've heard that and I believe it, but... why? Like I know estrogen came in red pills at the time but that's an easter egg at best, what makes it a trans story?"
"It's a story about the world being wrong around you in ways that, once you notice them, you can never really stop seeing. Once you understand it you feel this overwhelming urge to take control of your life, to experience something true in defiance of those who did this to you"
And like. None of it ever scans to me at all. The world didn't open up to me when I came out, I didn't start discovering the truth of the society that scorned me or whatever. I started saying I was a girl and that makes me happy and that's basically the only thing I have going on re: transgender
@amy I needed it to be explained to me that celeste was gay
@wallhackio Celeste was only gay because the fans were gay until Farewell when Madeline being gay became canon
@amy im not sure how seriously i should respond to this comment or whether its intentionally facetious
@wallhackio There's no other girls in the story for it to be gay about
@wallhackio "That's her ex on the phone" it's sooo ambiguous
@amy that scene has very little to do with why the game is gay
@wallhackio There are no girls in the story!!
@amy i genuinely cannot tell if you're joking lmao
@amy my current understand of what you're saying is that there aren't other girls in the story for maddy to be gay with?
@wallhackio The primary function being gay has on one's life is that if they are a girl it changes how they interact with girls, yes
@amy but if Madeleine is trans (which she is) then she is gay even if she dates/fucks/romances men
