@vaporeon_ do you know anything about avatar: the last airbender?
@wallhackio Tell me about that airbender
@vaporeon_ it's one of the classic children's cartoons from when I was kid. it had a bit of a renaissance a few years ago because Netflix added it to their lineup. It's very good
@wallhackio But what is it about? Who has secret tunnels there?
@vaporeon_ the secret tunnel is a reference to one of the early episodes in the show's second season. it's one of the show's really funny comedic bits
@vaporeon_ Extremely anime-esque despite being produced in the west, which was unusual in 2008 (not that weird anymore, anime is cool now).
I just tried to write a summary but the show's opening is a better summary than I could ever write: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOWBBMC__w0
If it looks even remotely interesting to you you'll probably like it. It's one of those shows that just about everyone will like
@vaporeon_ @wallhackio i’m sorry but this was a hilarious exchange
@aescling @wallhackio I just like the concept of going underground and using tunnels to fight against the occupier, anything wrong with that? :(
@vaporeon_ @wallhackio there is nothing wrong with that. i just find the way you two were thinking of very different ideas of “secret tunnel” very funny
@aescling @wallhackio So in that Airbender anime, they don't use the tunnels to attack the enemy?
the secret tunnels were a place where two lovers from warring kingdoms would secretly meet
@wallhackio @vaporeon_ @aescling that is the legend about the tunnel yes but the thing we actually see it used for is sneaking refugees past a military checkpoint so i think Vaporeon has pretty much the right idea about the purpose of tunnels here
British "journalism", cool tunnels though
@aescling @wallhackio By the way, have you seen this video where Palestinian Islamic Jihad let the BBC visit their tunnels?
Ignore the annoying commentary in the second part (can't expect anything better from "journalists"...), it's cool to see the tunnel
Sturdy and well-built indeed
@wallhackio No, not at all
I was thinking of guerilla warfare, like that Vietnamese tunnel system and like the Hamas tunnels
