when I went through a "I want to eat weirder foods" phase I tried it but it's too damn salty

@The_T i took about a sixth of a can and diced it up and added it to an omelette and added no additional salt and that was pretty good

you can do similar things with fried rice

@wallhackio my doctor is already constantly on me to lower sodium, so I don't add salt to anything.

@The_T if you're really dead set on trying spam the reduced sodium variant is actually quite good

And I eat enough meat as it is, I should eat more weirder food that is actually healthy.

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio its somewhat like spam except rather than being mostly meat its meat mixed with cornmeal. excellent if you’re a broke farmer who grows corn and are trying to make your limited meat supply go further, or if you’re a pork butcher stuck with all the random scraps from carving out the good cuts and wanna serve it then as a dish instead of a plate full of scraps

@Satsuma @vaporeon_ from what i can tell its kind of like meatloaf but with cornmeal and with scraps of less desirable cuts of meat instead of ground beef

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio well i have never seen meatloaf served sliced up with each slice individually fried but perhaps thats because we have scrapple and the rest of the country is doing breakfast meatloaf like that
