@SportsGoblin the guy runs to one side of the court and makes a point, and then the other guy runs to other side and makes a point. also, the score is close the entire time so it only has stakes during the final few minutes
@wallhackio @Lady @SportsGoblin technically baseball doesnt work this way but the guy running around in a circle isnt really more important
@Satsuma @wallhackio @SportsGoblin yeah it's really just footballs that are like this baseballs are different
@Lady @wallhackio @SportsGoblin wallhackio will only watch cricket where the scoring points and the running to opposite sides have been separated out into different phases of play
@Satsuma @wallhackio @SportsGoblin in golf you score points by running to the same side
@Lady @wallhackio @SportsGoblin scoring points is bad tho you’re not supposed to do that
@Lady @Satsuma @wallhackio golf isn't a sport tho, it's bourgeois decadence
@SportsGoblin @Lady @wallhackio how do you feel about cross country croquet
@Satsuma @Lady @wallhackio That doesn't sound like a real thing
@Lady @wallhackio @SportsGoblin it is a popular sport amongst my maternal family bc they like lawn games but hate lawns
@Satsuma @Lady @wallhackio Well I'm pretty sure croquet isn't bourgeois so
@wallhackio @Lady @SportsGoblin it does typically require a large lawn which is at least a little bourgeois if one is owning and maintaining such a thing, even if the lawn is more reasonably sized than golf
@Satsuma @wallhackio @Lady one could also just go play in a field or a park tho so it gets at least partial of a pass
@SportsGoblin @Satsuma @wallhackio in fairness when i said golf i was thinking of the frisbee kind
@Lady @Satsuma @wallhackio Ah, frolf
@wallhackio @SportsGoblin @Satsuma i guess if you watch footy the difference is nobody scores
@wallhackio @SportsGoblin i read this to @Satsuma and they said “this could describe any sport; that’s how they all work”
