it looks like this ⁚⟩ (describing the emoticon's visual appearance: it's meant to be a very wide smiling mouth and then widely-spaced eye dots near the ends of the smile.) it's how the pokémon leavanny's face looks except the eye dots should be even further apart.

these messages via my phone so i don’t have it handy here.

i should really remember to use my compose key binding for the leavanny smile emoticon more

legal quirks of gender

in buenos aires province, if there's a jury trial with at least one nonbinary person on the jury the law arguably requires there to be an even number of them. (the law requires there to be equal numbers of men and women in the jury and there are 12 jurors)

it’s weird how so many pokémon are assigned a metal. and especially weird that the two options are iron and copper, considering it’s called Steel type

repo! the genetic opera

was a pretty fun movie. kinda amateurish-feeling in some ways (they are not good at lyrics) but aesthetically great.

(i watched it with my betrothed)

unfortunate news, disease

alas, there's an unusually large amount of dengue in argentina currently

ttrpgs

last night in Blue Rose the Narrator addressed my problem of "my character is a knight but she never gets to fight mounted and now she's stranded hundreds of miles from her horse" by having a sentient giant snake with a human face volunteer to let me ride her.

downside: i haven't really gotten to know Ksenia (the naga) yet but if she's much like her mother she's kinda evil and might try to eat us if she gets bored.
upside: maybe i can convince her to be a better person? i would definitely be the only knight of the blue rose to have a naga mount/companion.

world politics and media

at some point i should actually figure out what página12's editorial stance is regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine.

it is somewhat hard to tell from their coverage that i have read, since it has mostly taken the form of "[official] [of country] said [claim]", possibly juxtaposed with "[official] [of other country] said [conflicting claim]", without any explicit indication of whether they credit either claim.

tho i did notice them specifying that Crimea is a Ukrainian peninsula («en el norte de la península ucraniana de Crimea, anexionada por Rusia en 2014.») in one thing i read today.

p.s. @aescling in a fangame i am playing i'm doing a bug-catcher run but currently i only have spinarak for bugs so i have an espurr in my party and i named them after you (they unfortunately will not have yr fave color scheme if they ever evolve tho)

clichéd complaint

phones too big

injury

it’s so hard to do.. anything without aggravating my neck pain. half keyboard mode on my phone helps a bit but it’s not super comfy for my hand to use my phone one handed

ttrpg posting

on the other hand, multiple of them did say at the start of the campaign that they wanted things to be more difficult than in the previous campaign we played together
