@Lady i really like some of these characters. perhaps even including as many as one str8 person (it seems technically possible as of chapter 6 that Tacoma is str8). i guess i like some of the peripheral str8s like Jodi's family alright. (i do also really like a lot of the pokémon who i assume are not queer but also obviously str8 pokémon aren't real)

currently grinding and trying to decide if i wanna adjust my team any or teach them some new TMs for this. it occurred to me that i won't need my HM mons for the pokemon league, so i'm considering swapping in somebody else for Linoone or Tentacruel (Pelipper got replaced previously by Rayquaza natively knowing Fly + Tentacruel because Pelipper couldn't learn Dive).

I have defeated all the gyms in Emerald and captured Rayquaza (just used master ball for this).
... I guess next (after a while break) a bunch of grinding and then I will face the Elite Four.
@pan i like the way pathfinder 2e did it.
There's an "archetype" collection of feats corresponding to each class, and you can take the first one ("Rogue Dedication" for example) in place of one of your class feats and it gives you some of the basic features of the class. And then later you can use your class feats to take other feats from the archetype to get other class features from that class or to get class feats from that class (at a later level than the class itself could get them).

a game i am gonna run suggests adapting the backstory of this sort of detective fiction as the basis of scenarios for it. i read a sara paretsky book that i really liked but i figure i’ll read some more stuff so i have a few ideas to pick from
