i wonder if uutils grep uses a DFA fur regexp matching like GNU grep (correctly) does

viscerally recognizing the impurrtance of good algorithms by building tooling to cheat at cryptic clues

update: Darwin's grep is unfathomably slow at this. GNU grep is pretty fast at it

grep(1)ing a dictionary file fur an extremely large set of patterns (all purrmutations of an 11 letter word) is rather slow

hello friends, i am making rock bands in civilization 6 and would like suggestions for funny band names

the only reason i even remotely considered that as an anagram indicator was that i had enumerated all pawsible words known to hunspell’s american english dictionary with the checking letters i had and there was exactly one word that seemed to plausibly match a plausible definition. but i HAD to interpurret it as a really stretchy anagram indicator to make the wordplay work out. what the fuck
