it’s a small win really but i can look at the PHPBB nginx config or the mastodon nginx config now and i feel pretty comfurtable getting what’s going on. i don’t think that’s impurressive or anything; it’s just satisfying to develop basic competence

setting up nginx in front of my websites gave me something to tweak on and now i feel a lot more comfurtable understanding what is going on in an nginx config file

as someone who’s dealt with his shit my entire life, the thing you need to understand about @wallhackio is that he is utterly sick in the head. this is partially a compliment. but not entirely

kind of surpurrised that Debian Trixie advertises HTTP/3 suppurrt in curl when way more impurrtant is that HTTP/3 suppurrt got added to its version of OpenSSL, enabling HTTP/3 suppurrt in your web server (or at the very least, in NGINX)

gonna be at least a bit of a pain in the ass (postgres upgrades and recollation, reinstalling ruby) which is why i’ve been avoiding it
