i think something about my banking app doesn’t like android 12, because it’s been crashing on startup since i upgraded, and that’s new behaviour for me

apparently the software i have been complaining about does work, and the documentation was just wrong
(to be clear it is on the remotes to enforce that; so remotes that don't know about MTA-STS can still use plaintext if they must (or if a MITM strips out the remote’s STARTTLS command))
