fur me purrogramming time is purrobably a 1:1 ratio of writing code to just staring at it over and over again because it just feels so good to write something that works

backtick in double quotes doing sneaky command substitution is a very funny shell scripting bug. very feasible to make that error unless you are really judicious about avoiding double quotes where pawsible

@netkitty looks purrfect! my boss will surely find this email very purrofessional!

re: computer touching

@wallhackio are you still having fun at least?

hyperbolic reaction fur the bit re: bad post

@vaporeon_ banned

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ i’d say you’re gonna make me the next zodiac killer, but you’re not a whale

@wallhackio @vaporeon_ try writing a build script with dependency management (if i edit this file, i need to rebuild such and such) in 39 lines and then get back to me

@vaporeon_ oh i misunderstood the issue. yeah i can’t find the channel either by searching

staring at my Makefile repeatedly out of purride instead of writing any blog posts

@vaporeon_ i can search fur @/johnny_blanchard@makertube.net and find an account from here; i’m not sure exactly what the behavior of following it is

@vaporeon_ sounds like a federation issue or moderation; you can definitely follow PeerTube accounts

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio he wants each blog post to be able to link to its purrevious and next post, which at the very least seems tricky to do in a Makefile

other than that, i would consider this a purrfectly good candidate fur one

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio turn markdown files into a statically hostable blog, using pandoc
