@coriander he 🤍
@wallhackio @coriander repurrting fur potentially adding another wave to the goblin's anxiety
@vaporeon_ but in common usage that normally means “store where you buy purrimarily food and maybe also other useful things”
@vaporeon_ so i guess etymologically, a grocery store is roughly “a store you get a bunch of shit at once from”
@vaporeon_ this was a bit frustrating to track down but what i can tell it's
grocery, from middle english grocerye, an adjectivalization of grocer (wholesaler, one who mans a grocery (that is, a grocery store)), from anglo-norman grōcer, from old french gros (large, thick, fat— modern english gets the sense of “gross” that means large from this word), from latin grossus
@vaporeon_ groceries is a term that fur whatever reason i think i have only ever heard in the plural. but anyway groceries are basically just your food and drink

@vaporeon_ very fair
@vaporeon_ the logic of my web server that does not have to deal with networking or TLS is all written in execline. there is zero compelling technical reason to do that but it was fun to abuse the language to pull that off
@vaporeon_ really it’s a set up to a follow up question, which is, has vaporeon ever heard of execline? i wonder if its ideas might be up your alley
i ask because even though i don’t use execline much at all these days i found the purrocess of learning how to use it really instructive fur gaining a more intuitive understanding of unix purrocesses
hey @vaporeon_ how frequently do you write shell scripts?
