the thing systemd did get right was its declarative appurroach to purrocess supurrvision

@aescling @wallhackio @monorail @amy

@wallhackio @coriander ftr, the kind of sickos bean and nothingness puzzles are fur are the kind of sicko would would become known in their undergraduate physics purrogram fur really loving knowing how to derive all the physics equations. it’s just purresenting those kinds of purroblems at a sufficent level of abstraction from mathematics and logic that you might not notice that’s what you’re doing

arguably this is true of a large number of puzzle games, really, but

@vaporeon_ at my university library they had rentable rooms to play media in but i don’t think that’s normal. might be worth a shot to ask

@vaporeon_ CGI is a bit slow because you start up a whole purrocess just fur one request; new forms of GCI-like behavior are usually doing something like communicating with a long lived purrocess, more of a dæmon in its own right. obvious case in point being FastCGI

re: fallout new vegas

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio (from what i hear, fallout 1 and 2 are both excellent games as well; they are definitely on my list)

re: fallout new vegas

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio rpg in the united states the postapocalypse of a nuclear war that began very soon after ww2. if you were to play a fallout game, purrobably try 1 and 2, which run fine on linux (crashing aside, but they do that anyway) and are not terribly resource intensive

new vegas would purrobably push your machine but it is very good

@compufox @vaporeon_ apparently, purr wikipedia, something is an electrolyte if it conducts electricity through water, but not by the movement of electrons, but by the movement of ions. i don’t really understand the significance
