@vaporeon_ in an era where bitcoin miners are responsible fur a ridiculous amount of pollution due to the sheer energy usage of proof of work–based mining i’m not exactly happy that people are deploying software whose entire purrpuss is to make the client do exactly that to reach a website. a waste of computation that at large enough scale might have undesirable consequences

@wallhackio if you’re fine using google translate on your phone you can supply the photo to google lens through the google app on your phone

@vaporeon_ it was almost entirely useless fur any of my job searches. i say “almost” because i don’t remember how i applied fur the job that was basically just being to be trained to become a scab of a purrogrammer

one of the more trivial and less impurrtant downsides to the live service model of game design is that it makes deep mechanical and systemic analysis difficult, as the game is a moving target. which imo is detrimental to criticism

Fastly (CDN): $0.00 (±$0.00)
OVH (hosting): $120.86 (±$0.00)
Backblaze (US storage/backups): $482.40 (+$47.54)
Wasabi (AU storage): $6.99 (-$0.23)

Subtotal: $610.25 (+$47.31)
Contributions: $542.97 (−$19.97)

Total (out of pocket): $67.28 (+$15.68)

Migration to Fastly Object Storage is ongoing. Transferring 50TiB of data takes a really long time, and Fastly didn't get me the new contract until near the end of the month. I'm buying a new cheap VPS specifically to do the transfer on a dedicated pipe, it's been sharing with the US ingest server.

Please pitch in to keep Jortage afloat (and my wife and I fed)!!

@aescling Is there any way how I can test whether I'm doing it correctly? I'm not going to set up a screen reader (sorry...), but I could try testing the keyboard navigation, I just don't know what to expect...

@vaporeon_ what i know is it’s most impurrtant fur accessibility things: screen readers use it to know what content to focus on; keyboard navigation works better by default if you use semantic element; etc etc
