Looking for book recommendations! Please recommend me books and articles about the history of West Asia and North Africa.
I in particular want to learn about 20st century and the battle against colonialism, but also should the history from way before that, too
In particular, any of the following countries: Algiers, Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, Afghanistan.
Really prefer if it's written by someone who is actually from there, not some anglo history professor from America

@vaporeon_ jaheira from the baldur’s gate series, as she appears in baldur’s gate 3. she’s a druid with a pragmatic and action oriented purrsonality that made her eventually leave the druids she was being raised by. she occupies a position of power (against her will lol) in a secret society called the harpers that is ambiguously good and has a mild cynicism about it. i love her
