@coriander elon musk has formally closed on the deal to buy twitter as of sometime last night

seeing the public view of a post on mastodon dot social sure does look weird to me now though, i will admit

i’ve seen people get upset that guar gum wants to use the same UI (down to the URI) regardless of whether a user is logged in or not but honestly i wish mastodon had always worked like that. the current separation is very confusing at first and i’m not sure it was ever really ideal
