@wallhackio wikipedia says 1954 and also possibly will be in 2 parts as has an intermission

@inherentlee yeah i still prefer to talk to people i actually follow for the most part obv but its nice for a little scroll when you’re bored! and sometimes you do meet cool people you wouldnt have otherwise stumbled across that way

@inherentlee my instance is small enough (and has a robust enough set of instance wide silences) that the federated timeline is pretty manageable actually (which, yes, is how i saw this 😅)

@pockets learning models maybe yes with sufficient restrictions (actual human supervision, ethically created datasets, a purpose which actually benefits society as opposed to just writing more emails we then ask the same model to read and summarize). Large? no never, the compute required is ruinous for the environment while the endless demand for data makes ethical curation virtually impossilbe

@SportsGoblin yeah it is always very funny when we are watching via antenna and caleb is streaming and we get to hear him react upstairs a full 40 seconds behind

@alis try putting a grizzled video game character with a beard up on tv and then scanning that?

@wallhackio if it helps, it’s named after a guy named De La Warr

@wallhackio @aschmitz i feel like elaborating too much on my baking/cooking divide might count as spoilers but i do broadly speaking, agree that candy making falls into a third category
