music personnel search (unofficial/preofficial)
long shot on this instance but I'm gonna ask anyway...
are there any music directors (preferably *already* handbell directors, but willing to learn to direct bells is okay too) looking for a low-hours side gig in central Colorado starting around fall 2022/spring 2023?
because i know a very skilled, audition-only group that's looking for a new director with a similar level of skill and enthusiasm.
(the search committee is set to be established Officially later this week, and I expect to be on it, I'm just eager to get the process started because it's so niche we're all worried it will take a long time)

@Cyborgneticz granted they’re mostly people who had to quit caffeine for health reasons (love that chronically ill lifestyle)
@Cyborgneticz i know some people who swear by that stuff
@aescling :D
@bgcarlisle @eqe i was expecting you to say they use lard or something! Thats….strange
@aescling this is official glitchcat policy
@Cyborgneticz ????

@twistylittlepassages i think there are 2fa key desktop apps you could use?
Food question
@naugeleh yeah certainly beans & rice with collards is a classic, and the difference between the various coles is moderate
Food question
@naugeleh i also put cabbage in beans & rice (on the beans side of things)
I have no idea if thats a thing or was just my dad tho haha
Food question
@naugeleh i usually make it with kale, but cabbage is the traditional version I believe
& it has a very different vibe to a lot of other cabbage dishes so might be a nice way to change things up
Food question
@naugeleh colcannon?
@twistylittlepassages i’ve been told that everyone should try it at least once & do more or less agree with that, but haven’t yet tried myself
@aescling yeah it was not a complement
It’s not the worst thing in the world because he is fairly organized within the structure of each lecture, but it mapa super awkwardly to my ‘new document each class’ style of note-taking
@aescling this professor also clearly is moving from one lecture to another (narrative arcs) but he rarely times the shift to the start/end of a class
@aescling in american shows you generally assume each episode has an internal arc and the end of episodes meets certain narrative expectations (this may be a cliffhanger, but cliffhangers are like, a known narrative thing). When you developed shows airing 1 ep/wk this makes a lot of sense
china's tv culture generally assumes a much faster airing schedule & also bc of censorship stuff its difficult for producers to predict what will actually make it into the final show. So many shows will do stuff like end mid scene and pick up next ep. Narrative arcs are not tied to the episode structure
@Anke i hope you enjoyed your surprise pear
