@rowyn aw poor Valor
@apprendere whats the podcast? i am also in dire need of spanish practice, esp listening practice
@JessMahler i like the hair!
food -
@skippingmoonrocks my toaster oven apparently goes up to 230 c which is closer than i was expecting! but yeah that is weirdly high for reheating a presumably already fully cooked treat—i wonder if they somehow confused Celsius and Fahrenheit?
@rowyn i am glad Valor is not falling for the worlds most suspicious con
trick or treat report (1/?)
@twistylittlepassages we got our first kid at 5:30 on the dot and then like four more immediately after so i feel vindicated in my predictions 😂
@aschmitz weird choice on their part!
trick or treat timing question
@twistylittlepassages my general impression is that the suburbs do trick or treating a bit earlier than the cities around here, we definitely get the bulk of our kids post sundown while the suburbs get the bulk just-pre. Idk if it’s a culture thing or a consistency of streetlights thing
trick or treat timing question
@twistylittlepassages our neighborhood is pretty busy with trick or treaters and i would say we usually get a *couple* kids 4-5 but mostly it doesn’t start until 5:30 or so
@rowyn extremely sus
@apprendere yeah we were discussing this the other day in a discord i’m in and someone was like “ohhh i didn’t realize that might be upsetting to some authors sorry :/“ and i did not know how to respond 😅
@MDZSKinkPromptBot one of the jin zixuans says yes because they’re assuming the other one will also say yes and they want to look cool by getting there first and then the other one says yes bc now they CANT back out but actually neither of them are into clone sex
@rigormorphis i do except instead of twitter i took refuge on [writing forum that no longer exists]
@rowyn i am NOT cutting over there if I was Valor
@gewt wait is he still legally allowed to be an american citizen? i’m all for dual citizenship but i feel like being the Literal Government Of Another Country is maybe a different mater
@transfemwulian Jin Yong (sometimes considered the OG of modern wuxia) definitely loved to throw a guy off a cliff and then reveal he wasn’t dead later. would not be surprised to hear this trope goes all the way back to water margin
@apprendere lmk if you want recs for communities!
Food, questionable storage choices.
@SocialGaff it’s not ideal but the objections are largely more aesthetic than actual food safety
