Food, concerns about all these chocolate sales, long post
@dessertgeek do you have any reccomendations for bean to bar companies that make stone ground/mexican hot chocolate disks?
I’ve been buying Taza ( https://www.tazachocolate.com/collections/discs ) since my grocery store carries and they do at least list which orgs they buy their beans from by name but I’d love to try some other brands as well
@Betty i imagine any american browsing ao3 on thanksgiving has no grounds to complain when it comes to any weird smut posted there

@twotone truly the most confusing of root vegetable names!
@twotone lots of water & ginger tea (literally just dried or fresh ginger thats been steeped in boiling water) with or without lemon & honey are pretty consistent picks when I’m sick—Camellia sinensis type tea is only for the mornings bc caffeine keeps me up but I do continue drinking it while sick
Ginger ale / other sodas don’t make great comfort beverages for me personally so they rarely show up in the rotation

@villainousfriend @Betty i am also bad at gender and speaking haha so i figure defaulting to they is better than defaulting to anything else
I also feel like the younger generations have pushed generic they (“someone left their phone”) into any situation where the persons individual identity is not relevant (“i was talking to a friend and they said” etc) which makes they-ing people by accident/without thinking a bit easier and therefore more common?
@twotone still don’t understand why we, as a society, have decided a contagious viral illness which causes fevers is insufficient as a get out of social obligations card :/
