@pixouls i always enjoy looking at mushrooms which have the weird flaky textures from their veil remnants. The ones around here are usually pretty low contrast (white on white or white on tan or whatever) but it’s used to much more striking effect on some other species—many of the amantia’s are red/dark brown with white veils for example: https://ultimate-mushroom.com/poisonous/102-amanita-regalis.html
@bright_helpings febreeze actually ran entire ad campaigns attempting to train people to do exactly that in the 90’s/early 2000’s—guess this means it worked, even if they couldn’t get her brand loyalty in the process haha

@Lady when someone is repeatedly bringing up someones accent over an extended period to time for the purpose of pointing out ways it deviates from “correct” pronunciation schemas it sure does come off as criticism
