@umadoshi @thalassa @soph_sol you shouldnt have to actually touch any of the code yourself, & i know cyberbrain was able to get it running pretty easily last month so it seems pretty doable…but yeah it’s a bit more complex than just downloading an app on your phone and not everyone has the energy for that

Asking spouse to take a look seems like a great plan haha

@thalassa @umadoshi @soph_sol if you’re willing to fuck around with python scripts, nianeyna’s ao3 bulk downloader should be able to handle that (i’ve been meaning to go through and back up copies of all my bookmarked fics)

@maddiefuzz left off feditips since i saw it’d been recced already, but it also has some solid pages for sure

@oddtypeofdragon welcome! @gnomon might have some good suggestions for where to find cyclists, if you’re still looking

social media meta, and now Tumblr too!

@ljwrites love that they’re framing their shift to algo as an attempt to promote “small creators” like those people are not the ones most consistently fucked over by engagement based algorithmic timelines…

@enchantedsleeper hilariously, as a non (ex) account holder i can’t actually read their bad product strategy:

@sweet_exile@fandom.ink @naye yay roadtrip playlisting!

@Cyborgneticz i think there are some real convos to be had about what kinds of education is most helpful to prospective teachers but to say you shouldn’t have it at all is just ludicrous

@Cyborgneticz wait are they saying you should only have a *bachelors*? okay that sure is a…take

@soph_sol it did seem very like basket weaving! a bit easier in some ways maybe, because you have a frame to work off, but that also means you have the teensiest lil holes in said frame to get all the cane thru so ehhh

@soph_sol this is so cool! i had a similar experience while learning to recane a chair the other day

@varve ah yes!! «The first marshmallows were prepared by boiling pieces of root pulp with honey until thick. Once thickened, the mixture was strained, cooled, then used as intended.[3][4] Whether used for candy or medicine, the manufacture of marshmallows was limited to a small scale. In the early to mid-1800s, the marshmallow had made its way to France, where confectioners augmented the plant's traditional medicinal value with indulgent ingredients utilized by the Egyptians. Owners of small candy stores would whip the sap from the mallow root into a fluffy candy mold. This candy, called Pâte de Guimauve, was a spongy-soft dessert made from whipping dried marshmallow roots with sugar, water, and egg whites.»

@varve there is a plant called the marsh mallow (which is what marshmallows were historically made from) so maybe that??

@QuietMisdreavus topic specific relays *would* be pretty cool tho

the general purpose ones all feel like “add a bunch of noise to your instance!” which i’m way less into
