@Lady my local library’s interface is p janky for browsing actually imo
@Satsuma alas,
@Lady generally if i dont know what i’m looking for i’ll just wander the stacks & rely on serendipity (this works better for non-fiction)
@Satsuma out of curiosity is this your public or school library
@Lady public, uni uses worldcat which has decent subject search for most purposes
@Satsuma oof people actually use worldcat as their primary catalog access??
@Satsuma it makes sense but i feel bad for your librarians and the lack of funding i feel like this implies
@Lady i’m really not sure what their funding situation is tbh, there are indications pointing in both directions so I suspect it’s uneven
@Satsuma …it might actually have been homemade?! https://library.whitman.edu/blog/welcome-to-sherlock/
@Satsuma from https://www.linkun.info/about it looks like it is Islandora and Alma (we also use Alma for our catalog i believe)
@Lady huh nice
