anyway. that is unfortunate
@aescling i would say that the purpose of (critical) theory is to build a (critical) framework for analysing things (that one can do criticism to)
@Lady sorry if there’s just an obvious answer here but what exactly do you mean by critical?
@aescling “attempting to uncover the meanings embedded in a text” is i think the conventional definition
@aescling for a potentially quite loose definition of “meaning”, “embedded in”, and “text”
will i get praised or cancelled for my extensive knowledge of queer theoretical approaches to grief and mourning, episode 117/????
