totk is the best game i have ever played that i also hated

@Lady oh i did play new horizons that game was good and very disappointing

@Lady i hadn't played an animal crossing game since gamecube and it was infuriating how many UX problems were never fixed, and how the villager interactions overall were significantly worse

@wallhackio @Lady New Horizons was pretty dogshit in a lot of ways that matter but it also did have a lot of interesting mechanical improvements, it's a very complicated game to talk about

@coriander @Lady new horizons is the easy choice if personal expression and creativity is what drives you. i guess.

@wallhackio if coriander sees this post i feel like it will rewaken their hater energy

@aescling @aescling @coriander SHARE YOUR HATE WITH ME. LET US BASK IN GLORIOUS SHARED HATERDOM.

@wallhackio @aescling I don't know that I have it in me to be a hater today tbh I am VERY tired but the long and short of it is that it was way too much like BotW including being way too fucking long and the big gimmick of gluing a bunch of shit together to solve puzzles did absolutely nothing for me aside from kill the momentum of exploration every time I had to fiddle with it and annoy the shit out of me

@coriander @aescling i hadn't played botw before playing totk and i will that my first 20-30 hours were pure gaming magic as i finally got to understand what the hype regarding botw was all about, and then remaining 270 (!!!!!!!!) hours was i completed everything else the game had to offer were Fine.

@wallhackio @aescling Oh, yeah, if you hadn't previously played BotW I can see it making a good early impression because like

It's the same game

They just added the underground and gave Link superglue

@Lady @wallhackio @aescling Yeah honestly like

I would theoretically play BotW again some day if I didn't have the Wii U version or the Wii U wasn't, you know. The way that it is.

But I can guarantee I'll never play TotK again
