d·s·a slowly turning me into an anarchist

@aescling the gulf between current conditions and actually having meaningful influence over state power is vast and these people have absolutely no idea how to go about bridging it

@aescling no they don’t seem too interested in recruitment

@aescling jonathan wants 211 members that isn’t numbers

@aescling if the delaware dsa were as large as, for example, the delaware state education association (i·e the delaware branch of the largest teaching union in the united states), which has over 13,000 members, i’m fairly certain it would instantly implode

@Lady @aescling i asked margo why he was aiming for such a specific number and she said it had to do with sending delegates to the DSA constitution so like, that is internal politics & not even pretending to be about advancing the cause of socialism???

@Satsuma @aescling all DSA work is about internal politics the whole point of the org is to channel activist energy into caucuses where you mostly just talk with or against other DSA members
