So imagine you want to get to Ranger Station Foxtrot, and it's on a mountain. Ok, but the mountain is guarded by a gazillion cazadores. Ok, let's make antivenom. Oh, the recipe requires level 40 survival, I only have 15 survival, I will need to level up twice to make antivenom. Ok let's do a bunch of quests to level up, cool. Oh I need radscorpion venom to get it, ok let me find the radscorpion gulch. Oops, I went to Primm's Pass instead and got 2-shot by a deathclaw, my bad. Okay go to radscorpion gulch and kill 5 giant radscorpions at once without dying because I happened to have looted 2 antivenom from doing quests. Cool. Ok, now spend thousands of caps on stimpacks and let's kill the cazadores. Ok, I managed to kill them all and didn't die by using, like, 13 antivenom and most of my stimpacks. Oh, the path to foxtrot wasn't here, this is a dead end, I literally just wasted my time. Ok. Let's go to the actual path. Oh, that's the Legion attacking me, cool.
